New Bounds for the Maximum Size of Ternary Constant Weight Codes

Digitisation and Presentation of Historical Materials in a Virtual Exhibition ‘The Image of India in Bulgaria: from the late 19th to the late 20th Century’
The main contribution of this project is the study of collections of valuable documents related to the image of India in Bulgaria. Digital repositories of selected samples are constructed using modern information technologies.

Analyzing the Data in OLAP Data Cubes

data warehouses, supporting the decision-making process. This paper presents an application that creates a data
cube and demonstrates the effectiveness of the applying the OLAP operations when it necessary to analyze the
data and obtain the valuable information from the data. It allows the analysis of factual data that is daily

Uniform continuity of real functions on unbounded intervals is not a compulsory
topic in the basic analysis courses. In the course «Calculus III», the study of the uniform
continuity is limited to Cantor’s theorem. The theorem states that if f : [a; b] ! R
is a continuous function, then it is uniformly continuous. This result is essential for
proving one of the central results of the integral calculus, which states that if a function
f : [a; b] ! R is continuous, then it is integrable on [a; b]. We also know that if
f : [a;1) ! R is continuous and limx!1 f(x) exists (as a real number), then f is
uniformly continuous on the interval [a;1).
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to characterize functions f : [a;1) ! R that are
uniformly continuous on [a;1). This thesis consists of three chapters and is based on
the articles by R. L. Pouso [4] and S. Djebali [1].
In the first chapter of this bachelor thesis, we discuss the definition of a uniform continuity and bring some examples of continuous functions that are not uniformly continuous. In this introductory chapter we use sequences to investigate uniform continuity.We provide an important proposition on the relation between uniformly continuous function and Cauchy sequences, which we will use for further proofs.
The second chapter is devoted to examining uniformly continuous functions on
unbounded intervals. We present conditions for a function f : [a;1) ! R to be uniformly
continuious on an interval [a;1). Then we give an example that shows that the
condition limx!1 jf(x)j x = 0 does not guarantee uniform continuity of the function f.
At the end of the chapter, we show that if the graph of a function f has a horizontal or
oblique asymptote then the function is uniformly continuous. In the third chapter, the relation between uniform continuity and convergence of improper integrals is studied.We examine unifom continuity of a function f : [a;1) ! R,
for which improper integral R 1 a f(x)dx convergences. We also provide example of cases when uniform continuity of a function does not guarantee integral convergence
Digital Repository of Information and Knowledge - Fund “BellKnow”
The aim was to develop an archive containing detailed description of
church bells. As an object of cultural heritage the bell has general properties
such as geometric dimensions, weight, sound of each of the bells, the pitch of
the tone as well as acoustical diagrams obtained using contemporary
equipment. The audio, photo and video archive is developed by using advanced
technologies for analysis, reservation and data protection

Ускореното развитие на интердисциплинарните и цифровите технологии доведе до необходимостта от непрекъснати нови изследвания във всички области, включително и при опазването и представянето на културно-историческото наследство. Този доклад разглежда и представя дейности от проекта "Дигитално културно съкровище Север+" с участието на Института по математика и информатика към Българската академия на науките, за подобряване на достъпа и разпространението на културното наследство. Разгледани са някои от технологичните решения, разработени във връзка с цифровото преобразуване на материали, създадени в цифровия център, платформата и мрежата "Север+".The accelerated development of interdisciplinary and digital technologies has prompted the need for continuous new research in all areas, including the preservation and presentation of cultural and historical heritage. This report examines and presents the activities of the project "Digital cultural treasure North +" with participation of Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, BAS, for improving access and dissemination of cultural heritage.

Development, Annotation and Protection of Digital Archive “Bulgarian Folklore Heritage”
The key to prosperity in today's world is access to digital content and
skills to create new content.
Investigations of folklore artifacts is the topic of this article, presenting research
related to the national program „Knowledge Technologies for Creation of
Digital Presentation and Significant Repositories of Folklore Heritage”
(FolkKnow).
FolkKnow aims to build a digital multimedia archive "Bulgarian Folklore
Heritage” (BFH) and virtual information portal with folk media library of
digitized multimedia objects from a selected collection of the fund of Institute
of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with Ethnographic Museum (IEFSEM) of
the Bulgarian Academy of Science (BAS).
The realization of the project FolkKnow gives opportunity for wide social
applications of the multimedia collections, for the purposes of Interactive
distance learning/self-learning, research activities in the field of Bulgarian
traditional culture and for the cultural and ethno-tourism.
We study, analyze and implement techniques and methods for digitization of
multimedia objects and their annotation. In the paper are discussed specifics
approaches used to building and protect a digital archive with multimedia
content. Tasks can be systematized in the following guidelines:
* Digitization of the selected samples
* Analysis of the objects in order to determine the metadata of selected
artifacts from selected collections and problem areas
* Digital multimedia archive
* Socially-oriented applications and virtual exhibitions artery
* Frequency dictionary tool for texts with folklore themes
* A method of modern technologies of protecting intellectual property
and copyrights on digital content developed for use in digital
exposures
Digitization and 3D Scanning of Historical Artifacts
Protection and preservation of our cultural and literary historical and documentary heritage are particularly relevant today. The paper presents methods for creating digital resources of historical artifacts related to the Balkan war. Special attention is paid to the process of 3D scanning of objects.
